Collecting fall things to decorate our fall wreaths next week

There are old trees in the woods that have fallen down and are great for climbing on-
we always take a break to do some climbing on our walks!

Halloween-time!

Here's how the Spider Web song goes: Billy (name of child) Elephant went out to play, on a spider web one day, he had such enormous fun, he called for another elephant to come: Elephant! (child calls another person's name in the circle and throws them a ball of yarn- the yarn goes back and forth as we sing the song till everyone is holding part of it and we've made an enormous web!)

Here's the giant spider web that we made at Circle time.

Pumpkin muffins

Our pumpkin muffins were a big hit- everyone loved them! They're easy to make, and made the school smell so good...

Here's the recipe:
1 box of yellow cake mix
1 (15 oz.) can of pumpkin puree
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Grease a 12 cup muffin pan or line with paper liners.  Mix ingredients together in a large bowl till smooth. Spoon into muffin cups.  Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Yum!
