Spanish, Music and more classroom fun

Dancing Princesses!

Working on our pumpkins for our pumpkin patch bulletin board

We decided to set up the puppet theater since the kids love playing with the puppets so much.

They've been putting on some great shows for their friends!

Pumpkin muffins

Our pumpkin muffins were a big hit- everyone loved them! They're easy to make, and made the school smell so good...

Here's the recipe:
1 box of yellow cake mix
1 (15 oz.) can of pumpkin puree
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Grease a 12 cup muffin pan or line with paper liners.  Mix ingredients together in a large bowl till smooth. Spoon into muffin cups.  Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Yum!

Magic Pumpkins

The other day a funny little man gave Mrs. R. some magic pumpkin seeds.  He told her that when we planted them we should say a magic word. We came up with the word "Abraca-doodle-grow!" and threw them into the Nature Nook garden.  We had no idea what would happen- but the next day when we looked out the window, little magic pumpkins had grown overnight!  We brought them inside and decorated them a couple of days later. They are beautiful!

More special readers, and a funny story-teller!

We are really enjoying out Book Buddies who come to read to us on Thursday mornings! We had fun, too with Mr. Bill, a great story-teller who visited our school recently.  He told us stories for 45 minutes- the kids were mesmerized the entire time!
